Sophie Ellis-Bextor torna a far ballare con il singolo “Freedom of the night” – TESTO E TRADUZIONE

Dopo il ritrovato successo discografico, ecco un nuovo singolo per Sophie Ellis-Bextor: Freedom of the night, in arrivo anche nelle radio italiane

Arriva in rotazione radiofonica italiana dal prossimo venerdì 25 ottobre, ma è già disponibile per l’ascolto su tutte le piattaforme digitali, il nuovo singolo di Sophie Ellis-Bextor. La traccia, dal titolo Freedom of the night, vede la cantautrice tornare a prendersi la scena musicale con una nuova traccia che è pronta ad infiammare le playlist degli appassionati di musica dance pop con la sua natura irriverente, spensierata, energica e frizzante.

Il brano è frutto della collaborazione tra Sophie Ellis-Bextor e Biff Stannard, stimato produttore che ha già avuto modo di lavorare spalla a spalla con artiste affermate nella scena dance pop, una tra tutte Kylie Minogue. A mettere la loro firma su Freedom of the night sono stati anche Shura, Chris Greatti e David Wrench.

«Sono sempre stata una persona che ha bisogno della musica per ricalibrarsi e Freedom of the night è incentrato su questa sensazione. La musica come forma di liberazione e un po’ di edonismo. Ho sempre avuto bisogno di quell’energia nella mia vita e so di non essere sola in questo. Come dice la canzone, a volte è necessario cedere a ciò che si vuole», ha detto Sophie Ellis-Bextor a proposito di questa nuova pubblicazione.

Venticinque anni di carriera per Sophie Ellis-Bextor, che nel corso del tempo ha messo a segno dei successi da alta classifica come Get over you e Heartbreak (Make me a dancer). Chiaramente è impossibile non citare Murder on the dancefloor, singolo pubblicato nel 2001 che già allora contribuì a spingere al pubblico l’artista, ma che di recente, complice l’inserimento all’interno dell’epica scena finale del film di Emerald Fennell, Saltburn, ha goduto di una rinnovata popolarità.

Grazie a questo nuovo boost la canzone è stata scoperta dalle nuove generazioni e riscoperta da chi l’aveva rimossa dalla memoria. Murder on the dancefloor ha riportato Sophie Ellis-Bextor fino al secondo posto nella UK Singles Chart, oltre alla Billborard Hot 100 e nuove tournée in giro per l’Europa e negli Stati Uniti. L’artista intanto si prepara a partire in un tour in Australia al fianco dei Take That.
